Foucault and the Asylum
In some ways, Lash is concerned with a lot of aspects of American history that correspond neatly to things Foucault is concerned about in terms of French history. But I think we also need to talk about the difference between Foucault and then Lash. Because Foucault deals in epistemes and he's totally un-fucking interested with how these ideas change and the mechanisms for these changes and ideas.
