A year ago now, the fall of carbell and those very shocking images of people clinging on to the sides of aeroplanes as they were leaving the capital. Just as a person, what was it like for you to to see that, given the responsibility you had once held? Well, i, like most americans, were deeply impacted by the nine 11 attack. And i think, watching afghanistan, it was difficult because i had been involved in deploying people into afghanistan to make sure that that would never happen.
