Stella: I think probably we are doomed to fail somehow with it. And that's part of his point in this particular text. It's perhaps presented on the page like this because he is introducing you to his book, which he's calling margins of philosophy. He doesn't just tell, he shows. We need help to read derider. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Stella: i used to teach some essays of der to undergraduates and i would do that again if the occasion arose. But here he's showing almost, er almost, i was going to say literally would be absolutely the wrong word to ruth.
