Apple has frozen plans to use memory chips from the Chinese company YMTC in its China based iPhones. These were planned to be used only for iPhones sold in China. Apple had been buying them because government funded YMTC chips were 20% cheaper than competitors. But now that company is on this like unverified list that the US created on October 7th. And so Apple's like, okay, well, I guess we're not going to do business with them anymore.
