Gnosticism was born in northern egypt and alexandria. The people who lived there were very much combining judaism, ly christianity, ancient egyptian beliefs,. But also a whole series of other fields, which i've been researching on my own. These all start to overlap each other and use the same vocabulary as neo platonism.
