The Price of Insulin

The insulin you can get today is much better than the original insulin that was invented back in the 1920s by two young scientists who invented it. Original insulin was made out of pig parts, basically, and it's been improved substantially since then. The main impediment has been because insulin is a biologic. It's not subject to the same FDA rules as chemistry set type drugs.
