Community Self Defense

A key aspect of community self defense is that you're like a member of the community. There's a significant difference between armed community defense, and being a person who shows up with a gun. The primary thing is going to be just putting yourself in harm's way so that you can spare that responsibility from somebody possibly more vulnerable than you. That should be the primary responsibility. How do you avoid letting that turn? People doing that into feeling like a separate chunk of the community or elevated by their actions.
