Is Determinism Compatible With Free Will?
i actually do, as it happens, believe that i have free will. But the challenge is how do i jibe my belief and conviction with what i just said? A colleague of mine has done empirical studies on whether lay folk are compatiblists or incompatiblists. And it turns out a majority of lay folk say yes. So their answers are consistent with what compatiblis say. Doesnt make any sinsie, logically, incoheret only you define free will the way you're defined. O fair enough. Well, we'll get up to the second level of free will pretty which are bringing in determinism. That strikes me assas a shilly shallying
