Wouldn't Subsidizing Houses Put More Pressure on the Taxpayer?
Publicly providing things below market price costs money. Just like in healthcare, we pay for parks and middle class people get to use them. Singapore gives $2 billion a year to provide 20 to 30,000 new homes. The reason it is so popular there is because 80 plus percent of people live in these houses.
