What Did the French Rule Over India?

Lucia: All the european occupiers, invaders, conquerors had the same mind set. They were all principally motivated by a desire to plunder the land and extract everything of value out of it. And secondly, to spread their foreign religion into india. That's why i believe that french rule over india, had it happened instead of british rule, would have been no different for india. At the end of the whole process, india would have been just as destroyed as it was under the british, maybe even worse.
