Frederick's Life Story
Frederick left school at 17 to work as an apprentice in the offices of major william b. Sullivan. When he turned 21, his father set him up with a business of his own. He took no salary and invested in whatever seemed like it might turn a profit. Frederick finally found something to take seriously in the summer of 18 o five: drinking ice that had been cut from their pond the previous winter and stored in the ice house for the summer.
