i think that unlearning men from beating up their female partners to the point of near death is absolute nonsense when we know they know it's wrong. though raping children for example is an illness and a condition is absolutely crazy. i'm desperate to give particularly young women the permission to not go along with that nonsense because one of the things that is so marked among women and young women in particular is this tendency to be so nice to people who treat them terribly.
