The Lord Commanded the Fish and Vomited Jonah Unto Dry Land

Jonah was running from God's call to preach to the Ninevites. He is afraid, we'll see it later, he is afraid that God might be merciful to them. And so you see this prayer in the fish, even though I think it's beautiful and it's awesome,. It is at best partial confession, half-hearted repentance and bad obedience. Yet God, to this disobedient prophet who ain't even confessing and repenting right, listens through the depths of an ocean into the belly of a fish and response. If God's going to respond to Jonah family, I bet he'll respond to us.
