Philosophy in the 20th Century

I hope for philosophy, that that philosophers reclaim their place in the public orld. We should also wander away from those very technical, inside baseball questions and think about issues in a way that is accessible to non philosophers. i've sat on a bunch of international committees looking at things like ally futile and inappropriate treatment and other issues. And i just think that if you've got the education and training that we have, you ought to employ it in public life.
