Marjorine

Marjarine was invented in the late 19th century as a way to keep butter shelf stable. Local governments made it illegal for marjorin, which is bacially oil, to be colored like butter. The colour has to be distint guished from butter because they did not want marjorine pretending to be butter. There are still brands that sell pink marjorina today but i have no idea why you would choose to do that. Sounds terrible, but it looks gross. I'm actually oka with it. But also, my mind doesn't go to pepto bismal spread on a piece of ti. My mind does go to bubble gum.
