While the actors are recording, show runner pete browngar puts the story board a screen in front of them. They're seeing the pictures or seeing the expressions that the characters are making. Pretty rare for a modern cartoon to record this way, but it's actually closer to how they did things back in the 19 forties. These cartoons back then never started with a script. Its started with drawings. And it's started with a bunch of cartoonists sitting in a room drawing gags.
