The Fed's Power Consolidation After 2008
After 2008, the Fed became much more powerful. The amount of power that the big banks consolidated was massive and is massive. And then guess what happened two years later? You had Blackstone in particular, but others as well. So I want to make sure that everyone understands here that when the Fed breaks stuff in a big way, which they're in the process of doing, that is always an opportunity for power consolidation. That's exactly what I think will happen or at least going to be attempted.
