Introduction
Bhutan's fifth king, King Jigmi Keisan Namjil Wonchug was in Delhi for talks. The unspoken worries through the visit were really over China. Over the past two years, Bhutan and China seem to have made considerable progress over boundary talks on disputed areas. If a deal for the Doklam region that is disputed gives China more access to India's chicken neck or what's called the siliguri corridor, that would radically change India's strategic threat perceptions. On the other hand, asking Bhutan to stop the deal could cause problems in bilateral ties that were even described this week as exemplary ties.
