Introduction

DNA contains the blueprints for how your cells live and grow. Like a computer program, it allows the cell to make decisions about when and where things happen. A group at Stanford University published the first comprehensive simulation of a bacterial cell in 2012. They are now working on simulations of human cells. This raises the possibility of a computational simulation of all the cells in a human.
