Did Lewis Just Settle for the Eighth?

Valtary botas finished ninth. Vessel lucked into a point in tentha gasle up to eleventh. Ocon, classified twelfth. So where was lewis's place in this? Why couldn't he keep up with an alpine? Was it tires? Was it did lowis thinkl i'm not going to be able to overtake? So did he just settle for the eighth? What's your opinion?
