First Draft: A Dialogue on Writing

O Honey Bees, Come Build in the Empty House of the Stair
i wanted to be a poet when i first fell in love with writing. I never magine myself as a novelist. The poet whom i wanted to be was one who has really stayed with me my whole life. And that's william butler yates. This is is four stanza poem called the stairs nest by my window. It's part of a larger cycle poems called meditations in time of civil war. Its yates being troubled into politics by the irish civil warin the early part of the twentieth century. O honey bees, come build in the empty house of the stair. We are closed in, and the key is turned. Our uncertainty.
