Ancient Greek Mythology - Mermaids
The mermaid is the most famous mixanthropos of ancient greek and later roman mythology. The centaurs are the most famous misanthropoi of the land, that are gino, half horse and half man or woman. And so what types of sources do we have available when looking at these mermaids and their importance to ancient greek mariners? Well it's very hard to bring these different kinds of sources together, because we have mythology like homer's odyssey and all the crazy characters,. including mer people, that seus encounters in his voyages to the far west of the mediterranean.
