The Rel Canonical Is Essentially Ignorable for Images

For images the rel canonical is essentially irrelevant it's really more for web pages and I don't think we even support it for images okay like there's no way to actually even do that people are asking about this but functionally it's not even possible. You don't even need to you don't need to like just add canonical as the alt text no uhYeah I mean I do think that we are doing this in a couple places sometimes we add like a social image for a blog post in addition to the image that's on the page that we've cropped for sharing.
