The Role of an Outsider in Consulting
I think part of my role is to provoke. So most of the things that I speak about are based on something that has happened or a research paper that's being published. If I'm just presenting news, I'm not useful in a consulting space. But if I'm presenting ideas in a new way or new ideas, then I can bring something new to the table to start conversation. The idea of the outsider telling you what you should be thinking is quite a dangerous view and goes directly against my philosophy as a futurist.
