How Flexport Overcame Legal Barriers
Flexport is licensed by the Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection. Getting that license took two and a half years including an FBI background check, which I passed. We've got a license by the Federal Maritime Commission to sell ocean freight. Can't sell ocean freight without a license. And we're not like other startups that are sort of operating in this gray area of the law to test case. That's not us at Flexport. The law is very clear about what you can and can't do.
