What's the Point of a Good Artificial Intelligence?
i think the reasons for wanting something more than loose talk are implicit in some of the examples we've been talking about. We need these artificial intelligence systems to actually be telling us things, and not for it to just be loose talkriht. The very trust that we're sposed to place in these systems is dependent on their accuracy. You can't be accurate unless you're saying something that can be true or false, so that you can be reliably true. And i think that's going to make sense as a practice, as the way that we're going to run our lives in our society.
