Is the Tibetan Plateau Habitable?
It would have taken significant acclimatisation adaptation on part of the hominine groups to adapt to living in such high environment. It's an environment that would make you and I sick. So these people were up there living, breathing, hunting, existing, creating art. And we find it not somewhere more lowland than we might expect, but instead in this incredibly highland area of the world where there are only three places like it. Exciting, does travatine exist around all of these hot springs? Yes, potentially. That's very exciting, potentially for the future for more potential discoveries dating to this time.
