I feel like this national food strategy that you led on and forms the backbone of this book was mandated in a kind of spirit of taking back control of our food system. But what has become clear to me since is that while I was just a voter, the people who campaigning for Brexit did not have a view on what it was. So if you look at the government's policy on food, you at one point had Michael Gove and George Eustace trying to create an environmentally sustainable future farming system. And then at the same time, Liz Truss going around the world doing trade deals that were ideologically, completely inconsistent with that approach. You can see that playing out in the food space
