India's motto for G20 seems to recognize this subtle, but in my eyes, crucially important difference. This non-anthropocentric appreciation of family, welfare, justice, rights is really deeply enshrined in ancient Indian texts. Introducing a less anthropocentric perspective into the G20 would not only help alleviate the suffering of our more than human friends globally,. But it would also have a positive impact on multiple cognate human concerns such as public health or sustainable development.
