Sand tiger sharks will often be seen majority of their time doing what's called milling which is just kind of aimlessly swimming. Some hammerhead species have been noted to also have long periods of lowered responsiveness where they will still swim in like just circle around a seamount or something and ignore preyfish. This might be a group that had to evolve away from sleep or something because of the way they breathe. And is this a case where you lost sleep with sleep present ancestrally and it went away?
