People in the middle ages at the time viewed history as this vast wheel of fortune. They had a cosmology about this fortune was it set was a demiurage i think. Every step that we sort of implicitly believe that 2020 the year 2020 should be better than this year 2018 Yeah And that uber comes out with their flying cars. That's like pre-world war one. That's pre disillusionment with technology. It's like man, what's that place at disney? That's the world of the future tomorrow land tomorrow land Like that in looking the future is better because of the stuff that's developed. Um, that's a modern concept. I just could people do that
