The Housewarming Party
Tara and her housemates were worried about a friend of theirs who hadn't come home since the weekend. He'd left the party one snowy night and was found more than a week later, too late. Tara had come home following Simon's disappearance, taking time off from school because she wanted to be with her parents. In his note, Simon said that he couldn't see a place for himself in the world, not the way that others did. All around him, he wrote, were people who knew what they wanted and where they belonged.
