Is There a Value to Open Source?

Apte is an open source project, controlled by no one in particular. This means everyone has to coordinate and you're at the whim of the project. And so we already have to patch everything wou know, well, witin embargo time lines. We put a lot of work into being able to respond to any issues that are reported in any kind of project e very, very quickly. That is a hard thing for a small organization.
