Many people who live in the country side are not that they are nature lovers. They have a very different view of what access should be and what it should look like. That voice is not often represented in the main organizations that alleged to represent the countryside. Access creates love. It creates ae ship. And that relationship is then used to defend nature against the threats that it effaces. I give you really concrete examples. So i live next to two rivers. One is the river mono, which has very little public access. But the other is the river y, which, hace is one of the few rivers that has a statutory guarantee of access and navigation rights.
