I'd like to thank all the speakers, first of all, for their decision on sticking within the time. The way in which they've accused the others of using sentiment while using it themselves is absolutely admirable. Anyone here wants to study debating this is how it's done. I'm going to take bunches of probably two or three questions together. If you want to make a point particularly to one member of the panel to one side, please make that clear and I will endeavour to direct it in the right direction. We have microphones up at the top here standing microphone. So if you're in the gallery, make your way around there and I shall endeavour to bring you in as well.
For this week's Sunday Debate, we're dipping back into the archive to 2014, when we gathered a panel of expert historians to debate whether Britain was right to fight in the First World War, a tragedy that laid the foundations for decades of destructive upheaval and violence across Europe. To debate the issue, we invited leading historians Margaret MacMillan, Max Hastings, John Charmley and Dominic Sandbrook to an event hosted by journalist, columnist and national security expert, Edward Lucas.
