Plastic Eating Microbes

Scientists have already found microbes that are incredibly adept at breaking down plastics. There are also microbes that generate PLA or polylactic acid, which is the plastic-like filaments that a lot of people are using in 3D printers. And there are groups that are now using AI and machine learning to enhance the activity of those microbe-made enzymes that tear apart plastic.
