NATO was principally a defensive alliance about creating peace and security in Europe. We brought in Portugal when it was a dictatorship, we had a period of a dictatorship in Greece as well. So while we all want to see every NATO ally improve...we also have to look at the fundamentals about what is the best thing for the defense of Europe.
