The Perennial Philosophy of Human Nature Is True
John Paul II was familiar with both of these sorts of approaches and in his philosophy, he really wanted to transcend the distinction between the two. He's not a phenomenologist per se, but he also doesn't want to just become an objectification to himself or to others. So he allows, he said, the perennial philosophy of human nature is true. And we can learn a lot of new things through studying our lived experience and reflecting upon experience. The fruit of my thinking about Carole voitiva for a number of years.
