Why Would We Care About Renal Infarcts Anyways?

The big ones are going to be vascular. It's going to be the aorta being a AAA or dissection. You never know when you could be missing that dissection. I can remember maybe two cases that I've diagnosed kind of incidentally of renal infarcts in my career. But it's something that should probably be on our differential diagnosis of plain, real, and all call like CT negative flank pain.
