What Caused Globalization to Slow Down?
David Frum and Carrie Drexler look at what caused globalization to slow down. They say it was partly due to the uneven spread of wealth across countries. It's also led to an example where wages have been depressed for many years, they say. The World Trade Organization is not as forceful in pushing forward these global deals between countries, they argue. And then finally coming back just to that point earlier, people are probably just asking themselves why things like the subprime housing crisis in the US were suddenly affecting people here in Australia.
