Is There a Scale of Depression?

Gregory: We have a multiple item scale that evaluates individual differences in depression. Gregory: In order for me to be able to make that comparison, when i say depression, i have to mean the same thing in the different cultures. And if i think about all the scale items that you describe, let's imagine there's seven point liquor scale items, and and that there's whole mess of em. It has to be recipe that gives me something,. a, that i'm comfortable in calling depression, and that b, i am comfortable making comparisons of groups in terms of depression.
