The Functional Components of the Nervous System

The action potential is where sodium goes in, followed by potassium going out and then it gets recolorbrated by an enzyme. And so along the elongated part of this cell, called the axon, is where this transfer of like... of ions occur. The signal can go towards the brain or central nervous system to tell it information. It can be in the central nervoussystem to make sense of the information or it can leave the central nervous System to elicit a change in response to that information. So basically, so you're now talking about the functional components of the nervous system, of the functional cells and these being the neurons.
