The Importance of Egyptology
For our second youngest sons, Bar mitzvah, we went with the Israeli army into the valley of Dothan. And we went to the spot where Joseph was thrown into the pit. That place is actually called by the locals, the sister of Joseph. So there's so much that brings the Bible alive today. It took a while until Egyptology as an example became an acceptable means of understanding the text.
