The Differences Between China and Global Private Capital

Chinese jobs, in the cases that I study, are oftentimes low paying. But then, because they wanted to keep production going for very important state reasons, they keep people employed but give them low wages. For global private companies, they usually react to any fluctuation in the market by laying off people. And so that's why retrenchment is such a big issue for workers employed in global private company. So from the perspective of Zambian workers, the deal is, I don't think they consider both good deals, both are not good deals.
