The History of the German Field Greyer

The first field greyes come in soon after 1900 and are supposed to be less visible than the coloured uniforms that they used before. The funny thing is of course so much of the Second World War's viewed in black white photographs you'd never quite get all these differences when you're flicking through books. In fact some of the grille uniforms towards the end of the war were almost entirely rayon but what's where rayon come from it doesn't sound very plausible, I tell you would.
