Running has been something that i have enjoyed a lot over the last decade and a half. But it's also not always easy for me to get motivated to run. I think people, especially if they identify with te group, or if identified with that as being part of their personality. If you want to be fit, if you want to build your endurance, you're runner. So what do you do? You can still go to the running club, run a couple of miles - but doesn't mean you have to be training for ultmerthon.
