Is There a Difference Between Neo-Cortex and ISO?
The neo-cortex has six well-defined layers. Other kinds of cortex, paleo or aloe or harvards, however it's going to be called, has fewer than six layers. So if you got more later layers, that's kind of better than having only three or four. It allows you to do more, presumably. But still, I think it's wrong to think that it's better. And in fact, there's evidence that even reptiles have remnants of neo-Cortex.
