Suppression of Diverse Thought and Establishment of State Ideology in Ancient China

This chapter explores the drastic actions taken by Li S' and Xian Shurhuang to eliminate diverse schools of thought in ancient China, including the burning of books and burying of scholars, in an effort to establish a singular state ideology. The repercussions of this suppression led to a substantial loss of knowledge and wisdom, impacting the political philosophies of the Han dynasty.
