Is There a Counter-Argument to These Thought Experiments?

I think there are probably a few different classes of counter arguments so one might be that we have these like again toy-talk experiments we talked about earlier that might be in some way suggestive. I still don't necessarily I suppose by the idea that these thought experiments really tell us that much about you know what's likely to happen in the context of AI systems. You know often seems to be the point is that if you take an English language sentence and then you give an agent the goal of interpreting that sentence literally without any common sense then you get bad outcomes out. But even though no one is suggesting that again like AI design will really look like this but just trying to map it onto human behavior
