The Importance of Class Consciousness
Omaha has the fifth highest African American poverty rate in the United States among the nation's largest 100 cities. One in three black residents in Omaha live below the poverty line. There is an absolute lack to of access to education, healthcare, jobs and unemployment rates are well above the national average.
